TieHere

Professionals near you, meeting in person, around something specific. Nobody here is anonymous. Not a feed to scroll. A small number of real meetings you actually show up to.

One person walking alone down a narrow city street

A thousand contacts. One of you on this street.

Every professional network you belong to is optimised for accumulation. Add, follow, connect, grow the number. None of them are optimised for the only thing that has ever actually changed a career: sitting across from one person for forty minutes.

The gap is not reach. You already have reach. The gap is that meeting someone new, in person, is socially expensive, and no product has made it cheap, specific and safe enough to be worth doing on a Tuesday.

A red umbrella on a neon-lit street in the rain at night

Every one of those lights is somebody's evening.

TieHere only shows you what is happening within reach, inside a window you are actually free. Proximity is the filter that makes a yes cheap, and a cheap yes is the only kind anyone ever says.

You never just “meet up”. You meet up for something.

COFFEE

A quick cup, a new connection

Thirty minutes, no agenda beyond the one you both already agreed to.

MEAL

Breakfast, lunch or dinner: the time decides

You pick a time. The app names the sitting, so you never pick a meal from a menu of meals.

NETWORKING

Grow your circle

The word usually means a room of strangers. Here it means one person, on purpose.

MENTORSHIP

Learn from someone a step ahead

A step ahead, not a stage above. The useful distance is small.

OUTING

A gig, a game, a night out

The thing you had a spare ticket for, and nobody to go with.

RIDE SHARE

Share the road, split the fare

Same direction, same hour. The commute stops being dead time.

DATING

Connect beyond the office

One intent out of seven, and entirely opt-in. It is not what this app is.

Say where, when, and why

01

Pick an intent, a place and a window. That is the whole of it. No profile essay, no pitch, no feed to maintain.

Nobody here is anonymous

02

Requests come from accounts tied to a real phone, a real email and a real employer. You see who they are before you answer, and you answer once.

You meet

03

Details unlock on confirmation. Safety features travel with you. Afterwards you both rate, and the ladder remembers.

Every rung unlocks something real. You can stop at any of them. Nothing here is a gate for its own sake.

Looking around

Browse what is happening nearby.

needsNothing, but locations stay redacted. You can see that something is happening, not where.

1

A real account

Full visibility. Host, request, and be seen.

needsAn account created through any real sign-in: email, Apple, Google or LinkedIn.

2

Identity checked

Safety features switch on: SOS, trusted contacts, the per-participant safety gate.

needsLinkedIn, phone, and a personal email, all three confirmed.

3

Workplace checked

The meetups that ask for a confirmed employer.

needsA confirmed work email and company, on top of everything at level 2.

A narrow street at night with a small lit bar open on the corner

A place, an hour, and one person who said yes.

One meetup at a time

Hosting a meetup, or even holding a pending request, blocks another in the same window. The product refuses to let you collect people. If you said yes, you meant it.

Nobody gets rejected

A turned-down request never says rejected, or declined, or no. The requester sees that it was not the right fit, and sees other meetups nearby instead. Being turned down should not cost you the next attempt.

Location is earned, then blurred

Below level 1, you cannot see where anything is. Above it, coordinates are quantised before they ever reach another device. Nobody is handed a pin on your exact position, at any trust level.

So it is treated as one. These are mechanisms in the product, not promises in a marketing page.

SOS

One control, reachable from inside a meetup, that reaches your trusted contacts with where you are and who you are with.

Trusted contacts

People outside the app who you choose in advance. They are who the SOS reaches. They never need an account.

The safety gate

Contact details are shared on confirmation, per participant, and only between people who have both cleared level 2. Not to a group. Not in advance.

Quantised coordinates

A viewer never receives a precise position. The location you see is deliberately coarse, computed before it leaves the server.

What a check cannot do

A checked account means a real phone, a real email and a real employer are attached to it. It does not mean we have met this person. It does not tell you how they will behave. No app can tell you that, and any app that implies it can is selling you a feeling rather than a fact.

What the checks do is make anonymity expensive. If something goes wrong there is a real identity to find, and that is a deterrent, not a guarantee. Meet somewhere public. Tell a trusted contact where you are going. Leave whenever you want to, and you never owe anyone an explanation for going.

Safety features switch on at trust level 2, once LinkedIn, phone and personal email are confirmed, because a safety net that anonymous accounts can pull is not a safety net.

No. Dating is one of seven intents and it is entirely opt-in. The other six (coffee, meals, networking, mentorship, outings and ride shares) are what the app is built around, and you never see an intent you did not ask for.

Below level 1, nobody: meetup locations are redacted entirely. Above it, viewers receive quantised coordinates, never your exact position. Your precise location is not something the app hands to other users at any trust level.

Level 1 is a real account. Level 2 confirms a LinkedIn profile, a phone number and a personal email, and switches on the safety features. Level 3 confirms a work email and employer. These are checks on credentials, not on character. They make an account traceable to a real person, which raises the cost of behaving badly. They are not a promise about how anyone will behave, and we would rather say so than let the word verified do work it cannot do.

Meetups close automatically and both sides rate afterwards. Ratings feed the profile the next person sees, so reliability compounds and so does its absence.

Yes. Premium adds a higher hosting limit, filters on what is happening soon, and priority support. It is billed through the App Store or Google Play and can be cancelled there at any time.

Yes, from inside the app, and it removes your data rather than hiding it. There is a public page describing exactly what deletion does.

Pick an intent, pick a window, and meet one person who is actually there.
